So, Milwaukee was amazingly awesome. We had so much fun, and were so psyched to see so many familiar faces coming out to show us some love! Keep it coming people :) We hope to rock the art bar again soon!!!

So the party has come and gone. I believe it was definitely an overall success! We had a whole lot of fun, we got to see a lot of friends and supporters, and the real troopers got to witness a little bit of excitement at the end...(I did have some bruises the next day)

Thank you everyone who came out and celebrated with us, we hope you had a good time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Stay posted for coming gigs, we are working on a couple places in the Edgerton/ Newville area, and are currently branching over into Madison!

Everything is all set! Lourah's first official CD release party!!! is taking place on Saturday, January 23rd at the Janesville Best Western (off of Highway 26). Things kick off at 3pm. Admission is free and open for everyone. There will be free food (appetizers and Pizza) as well as beer on special (free!) for people who are so generous as to support us by buying one of our CDs :) we will also have Lourah teeshirts available for $12. Party attenders are in for a full day of music - Lourah will be playing 3 "organized" sets throughout the evening, but YOU can play too!! bring your instruments and jam with us and our friends- there may even be dancing!
We'll be partying it up until 10 or 11... or later. Bring everyone you know!

Alright. We are still in the early planning stages of the CD release party, but some important decisions have been made. We will be having the party at the Best Western in Janesville in January on Saturday the 23rd. We'll be in one of the banquette rooms where we will have beer, and food, and cake!!! There will be CDs o plenty, as well as several performances by Lourah throughout the evening. I am so so excited to have the cds in my hands!!! They look great and I just can't wait to have the cd release party! I wanted to do it right away, but after some consideration, and wise words from my mother, I've decided to push it back away from all of the crazy holidays and plan for some time in January. I haven't chosen the location yet, but one of the places I'm thinking about is a banquette room at Best Western - let me know if anyone has suggestions... We are going to start the party off with a mini show, during which, Brad and I will play songs from the cd, new songs, and some of our favorite covers. We are also thinking about having some of our friends play, and closing up with a dj. there will be beer and refreshments of course, so DO NOT MISS THIS!!! Anyone can come and everyone on our email list will receive official invites, so sign up now.....

The CD is done - officially :) I've completed all of the artwork, uploaded the whole shebang, and should have the hard copies in my hands by the end of the week. sooooooooo happy! I'm currently planning a CD RELEASE PARTY - for some time in December - probably early in the month to correlate with my birthday!!! We're thinking 5-10pm, with a mini concert to start, followed by all out party to finish off. I'm hoping for a roller-skating party personally, but we'll see. We will have drinks and refreshments and oh, so much more.....

So, the CD is all mixed and ready to go...and I just got the stuff I need to do the thing I need to do to them, so I just have to do it! I'm going to install this stuff into my computer and mess around with some things, maybe I'll have some for sale by our next gig in Cottage Grove?! Time to start planning a CD release party.

we just got done taking some pics in the yard for some promo materials - posters, stuff for the cd, and for the web site. I sat on a pile of squishy apples - that was fun! as soon as we get this stuff done we can finally finish our long awaited cd.....so much to do!
